| About Our Grass-Fed Beef We began raising grass-fed beef with the idea of producing the purest most natural beef possible. Our calves begin their lives eating green grass and drinking their mother’s milk while living healthy low-stress lives. They are raised on irrigated and dry land pastures and they are weaned, across the fence from their mothers, at 6 months of age usually sometime in November. Then the calves are pastured by themselves and are fed grass hay in the winter and green grass in the spring and summer months. Our grass-fed beef finishing protocol is our animals are raised and finished on our ranch and have access to fresh pastures with diets of nearly 100% grass and plant forage. ABSOLUTELY NO GRAINS! We select 2 yr. old heifers for our pasture program. We found that heifers marble better and they finish sooner because of their frame size. When they go to slaughter they weigh 1100-1200 lbs. | ![]() |
