Born and Grazed Sustainably

in Paradise Valley, Montana

We are privileged and honored to be able to raise Montana Black Angus Beef in Paradise Valley, South of Livingston. Our operation consists of raising Mother cows that calve in April and May. We believe that when you calve in the spring, in sync with Mother Nature, you raise healthy, less stressed and happy calves. Our baby calves are born in a bed of dandelions, not a snow drift!

We changed from the traditional way of calving to a way that is better for us and the cattle. We downsized the frame of our cows,  we prefer a moderate frame, fleshy built with an easy disposition. 

We believe in ourselves and our product and we work hard together every day to provide healthy food for your table.

ABOUT MONTANA MEADOWS 

God has given us this opportunity to take care of the land, animals and environment like He intended. The power and prestige of the Absaroka Mountain Range is the backdrop to our beautiful ranch. The Yellowstone River is one of our main bodies of water that pass by the ranch along with abundance of springs that run all winter long.  

We are fortunate to raise our cows on irrigated pastures and hay fields. Our beef that we select for our program are heifers that are 26-28 months old. We feed our Cattle organic Mineral, Sea Salt and Apple Cider Vinegar to help keep our animals healthy with waves of grass beneath their feet. In the summer we put up our own hay and our cows are rotated often to different pastures so the forage regrowth will come back stronger and more plentiful. 

Our beef is processed in a USDA processing plant just 45 minutes from our ranch. Here, they are humanely and efficiently processed into a product we are proud to offer to our customers. The Beef is dry-aged for 14 days and they will custom cut up your beef to your specifications and you will receive it cut, wrapped and frozen.
